TK Manufacturing’s story began in 1965 in Gqeberha. In 1997 the business split into two focused companies at the same address: TK Manufacturing, focused on production, and TK Toolroom Trust, focused on tooling. The structure preserves a close relationship between how a part is tooled and how it must perform in production.
Specialist experience
The current TK website describes a tooling “brains trust” that includes senior tooling designers, an engineer, toolmakers and machinists, supported by operational team members with long individual experience. Rather than treating design and manufacture as disconnected stages, TK’s public positioning centres on keeping them close.
Gqeberha automotive base
The business operates from 3 Kendle Street, Algoa Park, Gqeberha — within one of South Africa’s established automotive manufacturing regions and a port city with direct industrial connectivity.
